Introduction

This privacy policy (this “Policy”) explains how personal information is collected, used, and disclosed by Lehigh Talent Academy Foundation (collectively, “LTAF,” “we,” “our” or “us”). This Policy applies to visitors and users (individually, “you”) of our website at https://lehightalentacademyfoundation.org (the “Site”).

This Policy does not cover third parties or their services and we do not take any responsibility for how such third parties may use any information they collect. For information about third-party privacy practices, please consult with them directly.

Who We Are

Lehigh Talent Academy Foundation is a faith-driven nonprofit organization located at 3910 Adler Pl, Bethlehem, PA 18017, USA, dedicated to supporting quality, Christ-centered education in Nanyuki, Kenya. We exist to nurture the God-given talents of children through faith-centered education, supporting campus development, scholarships, and programs that help children thrive.

Personal Information. By visiting or using the Site, we may collect the following categories of personal information you provide to us:

We do not proactively collect sensitive personal information such as detailed financial account information or health-related data on the Site. Payment information (credit/debit card details) is processed securely through third-party payment processors and is not stored directly on our servers.

  • Send you ministry updates, impact stories, and newsletters
  • Communicate with you about fundraising campaigns, events, and opportunities to support our mission

  • Conduct analytics to better understand our supporters and their preferences

When we combine information in this way, we treat it as personal information and apply all of the safeguards in this Policy.

  • Send you donation confirmations, receipts, and acknowledgments
  • Provide updates on how your gifts are making an impact
  • Communicate about events, campaigns, and other news about LTAF and our mission
  • Send technical notices, updates, security alerts, and support messages

Retention. We will retain your information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Policy and as otherwise needed to comply with applicable law and internal policies. Donation records are typically retained for at least seven years for tax and legal compliance purposes.

III. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share your information only as follows:

Service Providers. We work with trusted third-party service providers who assist us with payment processing, email communications, website hosting, donor database management, and analytics. These providers are contractually obligated to keep your information secure and confidential and to use it only for the services they provide to us.

Legal Requirements. We may disclose your information to regulatory authorities, courts, government agencies and other third parties where we believe that doing so would be in accordance with or permitted or required by any applicable law, regulation or legal process, to defend the interests, rights, and/or property of LTAF or others, or to respond to emergencies.

With Your Consent. We may otherwise share your information as directed by you or subject to your consent.

Information You Share Publicly. The Site may allow you to share comments or information publicly. Please be mindful of your personal privacy needs and the privacy needs of others as you choose what to share and make public. We cannot control the privacy or security of information you choose to make public.

IV. Security of Your Information

LTAF takes commercially reasonable technical, administrative, and physical security measures designed to protect your information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction.

Payment Security. If credit or debit card account information is being transmitted through the Site, it will be protected by cryptographic protocols. To be clear, LTAF does not itself store your credit or debit card account information, and we do not have direct control over or responsibility for your credit or debit card account information. We use third-party payment processors that are the controllers of your credit card information. Our contracts with third parties that receive your credit or debit card account information require them to keep it secure and confidential.

Nonetheless, we cannot guarantee that transmissions of your information will always be secure or that unauthorized third parties will never be able to defeat the security measures taken by LTAF or our third-party service providers. Except to the extent that liability cannot be excluded or limited due to applicable law, we assume no liability or responsibility for disclosure of your information due to errors in transmission, unauthorized third-party access, or other causes beyond our control.

How We Secure Your Data. Information security is imperative to us. We utilize strong encryption when your information is stored or in transit to minimize the risk of unauthorized access or disclosure. When entering information on the Site, you can verify security by checking for the padlock icon in the address bar.

Storage of Information. Our hosting operations store data securely on servers located in the United States. Some service providers may transfer data outside the US, but we only allow this when your data is adequately protected through appropriate safeguards.

Your Right to Withdraw Consent. Whenever you have given us your consent to use your personal data, you have the right to change your mind at any time and withdraw that consent.

The Site may contain links to other websites, social media platforms, or embedded content (e.g., videos, images) that are not owned or controlled by LTAF.
